Washington D.C.: December 2013

Im back in action! I have recently neglected this blog for quiet awhile. I look back at my photos often and tell myself I will take more photos. However, that doesn't seem to happen and I get distracted with school work and my internship.
So, this 2014 I have made it a goal to at least take photos once a week. I hope I can get this accomplished. To start this off I am posting the photos from my winter vacation to Washington D.C.! My boyfriend and I headed to Washington Christmas Day, which actually wasn't that bad at the airports. We stayed with his Uncle and Fiance in their quant town home out in Arlington, Virginia. The days were spent walking and sight seeing to the Washington monuments and museums. We even went to New York City for a day which was an interesting experience for a small town/city girl like me. I really liked Washington D.C. a lot more than I thought I would. It definitely ranks in my top places that I would like to live in.

The Hope Diamond. It was really hard to get a good photo cause no one would really move.

My boyfriend and his Uncle. I though it would be a cool photo to get them walking to the capitol.

A look back at Summer

Happy Saturday! I absolutely love Saturdays in San Antonio. It seemed like there is always something to do. Whether it be the Farmers or going to the local coffee shop (which is where I am currently blogging from) there is always someway to have a good time. This is my last weekend before school begins again for the fall semester and it seems like I want to pack a bunch of activities into one last weekend before I have to go back to study mode.
I have to say this has definitely been a great summer. Looking back I experienced many firsts and grew as a person in my personal, business, and career life. I say care life because I have actually gone out and  networked and attended more interior design events this summer than I have during the school year. I never realized how important networking, volunteering, and simply getting your face out there in the design community can help you in the long run. More students really should take advantage of what the professionals have to offer them.
Okay, so other than working I also had fun and went out of Texas for the first time to go to Disney World, took my border collie Molly to the river for the first time, and this weekend I will be taking a wine tour for the first time in Fredericksburg, Texas.
I have definitely transformed in these last three months for the better and I hope I have many adventures and experiences in this last year if design school.
In terms of the blog I will definitely be expanding my posts into different territories such as DIYs, how to interior spaces, and some more consistent postings with my Weekend Shine.
I hope that all you going back to school are prepared and ready for a new school year! Here are some photos from some of my more resent outings.

Snapshots!

Since my move four weeks ago I have been on a whirlwind of great adventures, and some relived. The three weeks after my move have been filled with travel, food, and family visits that have been put on hold for too long. First week was spent at Sea World in San Antonio. The seconded was in Houston at an Astros game which they lost by one point. {I know very sad} Finally the third was back in San Antonio at Fiesta Texas where I finally got to experience The Rattler!
I got to say it was an eventful July filled with joy, laughter, and great company!
Remember to always cherish every wonderful moment with your family and friends. They are what make life exciting:) Happy Tuesday!
